Not one for gambling myself, but a pretty interesting article anyway!

Yeah, the arcade version was fun. As long as it's not more than 800 msp, it'll be worth it

Yeah, the Daily Mail would go nuts for that stuff. Especially the woman getting punched.

$441.28, according to XE.com.

Bargain, totally.

Amazing to think how much I spent on my 60GB model at launch, really.

I presume you could record Blu-rays in digital if you did so from a debug PS3 or one of the bypass systems Gameswire mentioned. Not that I want to try, or ever would. Things are nicer in boxes.

Ok, that's fair enough then. And yeah, they do look better on digital.

Why the hell would anyone run a PS3 using component anyway?

5338d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

Yeah, you might be right there. I think the colors are a bit more subtle on the PS3 version as well, which I think looks a little nicer.

"DMC with side boobs"

And bare buttocks. Can't forget the buttocks.

The course in the demo looks much better than this. Guess they just carried over the old Forza 2 course, and made it look a little bit prettier.

Still won't put me off buying it. Hell, you could hold a gun to members of my family, and it still wouldn't put me off getting it.

Totally. DiRT 2's nice, but I really, really miss that really nervous feeling of charging through stages without really knowing what was around the next corner.

Question of expectations, I guess. The cars will look the same (same paint jobs, sponsor decals, etc), and you get more WRC cars with a 2008 licence.

Anyway, it's just a small part of what GT5 will offer, so it's less important if GT5's licence is a year or two behind the official game. Hell, Forza 3 doesn't have a WRC licence at all, and nobody's complaining about that...

5345d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

GT5's WRC licence is probably from 2008 (it has the Subaru and Suzuki cars in it), and the new WRC game will probably use 2009 or 2010's licence.

So yeah, they can both use the WRC licence - it's just that GT5's licence will probably be a little older.

The differences are pretty tiny. 360 version looks a little smoother I guess, although I reckon you won't be able to see the difference when it's in motion.

The demo was pretty awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if the full game's amazing as well.

Real shame that, but I guess it was optimistic to think Amazon would honour that price.

Not that it'll stop me getting GT5. Oh no. It's now just a question of which game I don't buy instead...

Yeah, if the licence was too expensive for Sony to make it work as a full game, it'd probably be too expensive to work as a DLC pack for an existing title.

Then again, Codemasters do make good driving games, so the PS3/360 version might yet be OK. I just hope the Wii/PSP version isn't too bad...

Strangely, I’d actually prefer to see more F1 cars in GT5/GT5P than I would a standalone F1 game. And yes, I probably would pay for it.

Western society as a whole is eating too much and doing too little exercise these days, so he’s right in saying we need to make more of an effort to live healthily.

That said, saying things like that while his employer is doing a buy-one-get-one-free deal on Big Macs probably isn’t all that smart.
